Every artist has a different approach to creating a painting. For Janet, it is the love of detail and realism. It might be a piece of fabric, or the reflections on a set of kettle drums, or the delicate detail in the leaves of plant. As she tries to capture the texture, the color, and the beauty of everyday objects, she observes the minute details of the subject as she works through the process of each painting. Janet is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Art and had a career as a fashion illustrator. She is also the recipient of numerous watercolor awards, has participated in many national juried shows, and is a member of the American Watercolor Society.
